“One inconvenient location since 1851.” They’ve got that right! The quaint Story Inn in Story, Indiana is about to have their 11th annual Wine Fair. I’ve been to Story Inn on slow traffic days and have been unable to imagine the craziness that comes once a year with the Wine Fair.

However, the website contains good news for anyone too timid to drive into the automotive mosh pit: “If you live in Bloomington, or plan to stay in Nashville, you may choose to hop onto one of the shuttle buses that we have chartered for this event. From Bloomington: Park in the Orange Lot at the stadium, and grab the “Bacchus Bus” for Story. You may buy bus tickets HERE. From Nashville: Park where it is convenient, and grab one of the free shuttles which leaves from the Courthouse every 15 minutes. If you plan to drive: The Story Inn is located 13 miles south of Nashville on State Road 135, in southern Brown County. Parking is free. Carpoolers get priority parking.”

Tastings are from 12:30-7:00 p. m. and you must be at least 21 years of age and able to prove it!

Our own “Pontiff of Palate,” Ole Olson, will be there presiding over the competition to see which of the Indiana wines reigns supreme. Tough job, but somebody has to do it!!!
