It isn’t often that a restaurant has its wine list reviewed in THE WINE SPECTATOR, the world’s most widely circulated wine magazine. Those that are reviewed are usually in large cities or in upscale resort areas. Such a review normally results in an annual listing of restaurants with a fine wine selection. Bloomington’s Restaurant Tallent is on the verge of a WINE SPECTATOR review. Kristen Tallent has compiled a remarkable list for a Midwestern small city. But that’s not all. David Tallent came close to another first for a small city in a rural part of the Midwest. He was nominated for a James Beard Award, a kind of culinary “Oscar” for chefs. We are grateful in Bloomington to have two superstars presenting us with nationally recognized food and drink. |
