Horatio Alger may have urged us to “go west,” but in Bloomington we suggest you go east – east to the newest version of Sahara Mart on Third Street directly across from the Eastland Plaza Shopping Center. The wonderful “old store,” at Second and Walnut, itself twice expanded since its founding in 1986, will still be there; but for a while, all eyes will be on the “new store.”

Of its 20,000 square feet, 5,000 square feet will be devoted to wine, making it one of the largest retail wine outlets in southern Indiana, including the largest selection of organic wines in the Midwest. There is also plenty of parking.
