Brad Wallace came to Bloomington as a Fine Wine Specialist at Sahara Mart East with a lot of experience and a lot of knowledge. His Sahara job requires a lot of both. In distance, he hadn’t traveled far – only from Indianapolis; but in learning, he had come a very long way, having worked with some of the best wine minds in the Midwest.

Almost one-fourth of the 20,000 square feet of floor space in Sahara East is given to wine, mostly fine wine. Shelves display France, Spain, Italy, California, the Pacific Northwest, Australia, and South America. That’s to be expected in a fine wine store. But those shelves also display wines from Missouri and Michigan, New York and Canada, Israel and Turkey, Greece and Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and from most other places where wine is produced, to include wines from nearly every winery in Indiana. That’s why it takes a lot of knowledge to manage the Sahara collections.
