April 20, 2009
Be sure to watch the video at right featuring Dr. Allen Dale 'Ole' Olson and Craig Baker, co-owner of Ancient Cellars, Portland, OR »

There’s an old wine proverb that says if you want to make a small fortune in the wine business, you’d better start with a large fortune. Craig and Chris Baker have been around long enough to know all about that proverb, but they have started a winery anyway.

In one of the best wine regions in America. During one of the best times for wine sales in American history. In the face of an enormous world-wide economic recession. With a passion for good food and fine wine.

Chris has been in wine production in Oregon long enough to know where to find the best grapes. Now he’s turning that knowledge into creating his own wines along with his brother Craig.

Craig sold his restaurant in Portland to move to Indianapolis to be nearer family but also to promote their wines throughout the Heartland and make the wines of Ancient Cellars known nationwide. Ancient Cellars. An odd name for a new winery in the New World. Learn about Ancient Cellars from the video with Craig Baker.
