Take 35 wineries and put them under three gigantic circus tents. Take 4,000 – 5,000 people to Story, Indiana (population two; six when the Innkeeper’s four sons and daughters are home). Put the two together and you have the makings on the Annual Indiana Wine Fair, the second largest wine fair in the Hoosier State and the only one dedicated exclusively to Indiana wines. Hoosier wine producers love the Story Fair. Partly, to be sure, because they sell a lot of wine and meet a lot of people. But they love the rural ambiance, the gardens, the blending of a National Forest and the nation’s most-visited state park. They love the horses and the art gallery, the music, and the food stalls. Visitors love the same things and the opportunity to sit in the grass in front of the stage and wash down their sandwiches and popcorn with any kind of wine they can think of. Watch the video to experience yourself what makes the Indiana Wine Fair at Story such a special event. Be sure to watch the video at right featuring Dr. Allen Dale 'Ole' Olson and Rick Hofstetter, owner of the Story Inn, Story, IN »
