Visiting wineries
With Allen Dale 'Ole' Olson
September 17, 2009
Followers of the Hoosier Wine Cellar know that we encourage winery visits both for family fun and for opportunities to learn about wine and how it’s produced. Regular visitors know that wine people are among the most hospitable among us. They are generally very happy people because they know they are creating a product that makes people happy.

There are, however, visitors who don’t really know how to visit a winery. Wineries are not restaurants or bars handing out free drinks. They are not places where a tour bus load should descend upon without advance notice. They are, above all, places of business where employees work hard, equipment is very expensive, and where the end product carries with it high risk of failure.
